Concerning Koenig's participation in the theory of least action controversy. Stating that he has circulated three anti-Koenig letters "among persons of distinction and merit," and is planning to publish anti-Koenig material. Reporting that the "literary dispute has made a great deal of noise in Switzerland and the vicinity, especially after M. de Voltaire has begun to meddle officiously in it, and since Koenig and his defender (Voltaire) have been so very insolent, on can say that everyone has begun to hate them ..." Discussing extensively a dispute between Voltaire and the Bern magistrates.
